Lorna Ramdayal-Infanti joined Horizon BCBSNJ in 2012 in the position of Assistant General Counsel in the Regulatory and Corporate Division. She is the lead attorney of the Provider Network and Innovation legal team that supports Horizon Casualty Services, Health Care Management and Horizon Healthcare Innovation in all provider related matters. Prior to joining Horizon, Lorna spent several years in the practice of medical malpractice and pharmaceutical defense litigation at New York and New Jersey law firms before becoming the lead health care and regulatory attorney for The Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey handling a variety of health care matters including Stark and Anti-kickback issues. She has also held an adjunct assistant professor position at the School of Health Related Professions lecturing on health care privacy issues. Prior to practicing law, Lorna began her career in medicine, practicing cardiothoracic surgery as a licensed physician assistant at Albert Einstein Medical Center in New York. Lorna manages the Continuing Legal Education Program here at Horizon BCBSNJ and is a member of the Horizon’s Women LEAD affinity group. Lorna received her Bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University, a Physician Assistant Certificate from Bayley Seton PA School and her Juris Doctorate from Hofstra Law School.
